Deep condolences over the devastating earthquake in China

Our country would observe three days of mourning from 19 to 21 May. Flags will be flying at half-mast. HKSAR has also announced three days of mourning for those who died in the Sichuan Earthquake to 8.0 on the Richter scale on May 12 at 2:28 p.m. The death toll now rises to nearly 33,000 and I think the figure still keeps rising.

I share the sorrow and grief of our mainland compatriots who have suffered from the catastrophe . The following verse in Chinese characters was especially composed for the earthquake compatriot victims and may I send my deep condolences to them. Hope that the victims can turn grief into strength.

悼四川大地震死難同胞 (寄詞: 釵頭鳳) ---

天怒震, 山搖撼, 滿城慘絕人斷魂。

汶川塾, 生離索,

身居香港, 心憂川蜀;

哭! 哭! 哭!

情何堪, 仰天問, 淚潸紅眶黯傷神。

人和睦, 家園復,

炎黃宗族, 傾囊相助;

速! 速! 速!

Note: 塾=學校 School ; It is estimated that the earthquake collapsed more than 6,600 schools.

Condolences to the victims:
