Deep condolences over the devastating earthquake in China

Our country would observe three days of mourning from 19 to 21 May. Flags will be flying at half-mast. HKSAR has also announced three days of mourning for those who died in the Sichuan Earthquake to 8.0 on the Richter scale on May 12 at 2:28 p.m. The death toll now rises to nearly 33,000 and I think the figure still keeps rising.

I share the sorrow and grief of our mainland compatriots who have suffered from the catastrophe . The following verse in Chinese characters was especially composed for the earthquake compatriot victims and may I send my deep condolences to them. Hope that the victims can turn grief into strength.

悼四川大地震死難同胞 (寄詞: 釵頭鳳) ---

天怒震, 山搖撼, 滿城慘絕人斷魂。

汶川塾, 生離索,

身居香港, 心憂川蜀;

哭! 哭! 哭!

情何堪, 仰天問, 淚潸紅眶黯傷神。

人和睦, 家園復,

炎黃宗族, 傾囊相助;

速! 速! 速!

Note: 塾=學校 School ; It is estimated that the earthquake collapsed more than 6,600 schools.

Condolences to the victims:

Most of the prejudices not only based on misunderstanding but also on discrimination

Most of the prejudices are not only based on misunderstanding but also on discrimination, particularly on racial discrimination. It is also reinforced by the arrogant attitude and the nation's own conflict of interest of the concerned.

Two good examples are: German Hitler's ethnic cleansing of Jews in the Second World War; and the latest CNN Jack Cafferty's shameful "thugs and goons" speech. Is it really true that the biggest lesson from history is "not learned enough from history" ?

A retired physics professor wrote the following poem and published on Washington Post for the hypocrites around the world.

Allow me to quote and share the poem written by Dr. Duo-Liang Lin as follows:

A POEM FOR THE WEST => Published by the Washington Post:

When We were called Sick man of Asia, We were called The Peril.
When We are billed to be the next Superpower, We are called The threat.

When We were closed our doors, You smuggled Drugs to Open Markets.
When We Embrace Freed Trade, You blame us for Taking away your jobs.

When We were falling apart, You marched in your troops and wanted your "fair share".
When We were putting the broken pieces together again, "Free Tibet" you screamed, "it was an invasion!"
 * ( When Woodrow Wilson Couldn't give back Birth Place of Confucius back to Us, But He did bought a ticket for the Famine Relief Ball for us.)

So, We Tried Communism, You hated us for being Communists
When We embrace Capitalism, You hate us for being Capitalist.

When We have a Billion People, you said we were destroying the planet.
When We are tried limited our numbers, you said It was human rights abuse.

When We were Poor, You think we are dogs.
When We Loan you cash, You blame us for your debts.

When We build our industries, You called us Polluters.
When we sell you goods, You blame us for global warming.

When We buy oil, You called that exploitation and Genocide.
When You fight for oil, You called that Liberation.

When We were lost in Chaos and rampage, You wanted Rules of Law for us.
When We uphold law and order against Violence, You called that Violating Human Rights.

When We were silent, You said you want us to have Free Speech.
When We were silent no more, You say we were Brainwashed-Xenophobic.

"Why do you hate us so much?" We asked.
"No," You Answered, "We don't hate You."
We don't Hate You either, But Do you understand us
"Of course We do," You said, "We have AFP, CNN and BBCs..."

What do you really want from us
  Think Hard first, then Answer...

Because you only get so many chances,
Enough is Enough, Enough Hypocrisy for this one world.

We want One World, One Dream, And Peace On Earth.
This Big Blue Earth is Big Enough for all of Us.

Professor Emeritus of Physics University at Buffalo State University of New York

Professor Lin's poetry is also made into a video clip:

* Woodrow Wilson(December 28, 1856—February 3, 1924) was the 28th President of the United States. He went to Paris in 1919 to create the League of Nations and shape the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty that officially ended World War I. It was signed on June 28, 1919 that Germany should accept the terms of her "territorial loss" in Shandong, China: i.e. the Article 156 of the treaty transferred German concessions in Shandong of China to Japan rather than returning sovereign authority to China in 1919.
